On Friday, October 17, Marion FFA hosted its 4th annual FFA Day.
This event highlights opportunities available to students in FFA as well as local agriculture. Participants in FFA Day experienced mini FFA competitions such as Floriculture, Dairy Evaluation, Tool ID, and Environmental and Natural Resources. Calves, goats, rabbits, a chicken, mini donkey and pony were among the animals students got to pet and interact with.
Students competed for prizes in pumpkin seed spitting contests and stick pony races. Delicious samples of maple products, apples and cheese were generously provided by our guests. Students watched a drone used for conservation scouting fly high over our event.
FFA would like to give a special thank you to Boise Farms, Cracker Box Palace, Cummings Maple, El-Vi Farms, Ranway Farm, Wayne County SWCD and Williamson Country Florist for generously donating their time and supplies to our event.
