Marion senior Lydia McKay signed her letter of intent to play softball next season at Monroe Community College.
Lydia McKay is leaving the Marion softball program as the all-time leader in strikeouts, but she's hardly done.

The graduating senior gathered with friends and family on Thursday to celebrate her Signing Day for Monroe Community College. McKay, who also plays soccer and basketball for the Black Knights, will continue her softball career with the Tribunes next season.

McKay struck out more than 500 batters as a pitcher during her career at Marion. She plans to study radiology during her time at Monroe CC.

Congratualations to Lydia McKay. Your contributions as a player and role model at Marion will have a big impact on the players continuing through the program and we're confident you'll carry your talent and dedication to new levels at the next level!
